CHARTREUX - BONE

$300.00

Cat-eye sunglasses, first popularized in the 1950s, rose to global prominence in 1960s Hollywood films. The exaggerated upswept frame has witnessed a return; this style could be considered renaissance. Countless variations and imitations exist, but few really distinctive designs emerge.

The Chartreux, named after the stoic companion of French Carthusian Monks, is an unadorned version with sculpted acetate that resembles the muscular body of its namesake. This homage to the traditional style is entirely unique, complete with handcrafted luxury metal hardware and a faint catlike brow.
